This place has spacious rooms with high beamed ceilings and friendly staff, located centrally near an archaeological museum.

It’s a block away from the city’s central plaza, so every building around it is also probably over 600 years old. The rooms have 20’ vaulted ceilings, are roomy, and don’t have enough electical outlets . . . as usual for a building so old. A wide, marble staircase leads between the floors, in addition to one small elevator used only for getting baggage up. The room has air conditioning and satellite TV, with no channels in English. It has free WiFi, but only in the small lobby. I like the place so muich I changed my reservation from one to two nites.

The bathroom has a distinct odor of raw sewage. I don’t know if this just goes with the territory at this hotel, but if I came back, I’d check first to see if my room is normal, or just a problem room.

Stay: 2 nights, 10th & 11th of April, 2011 Fantastic! ...And I don’t usually write reviews. We had a Jr. Suite about which there was nothing junior—the room was huge, beautifully yet subtly decorated, and had everything we could wish for and more, even down to the no charge items in the mini bar (beer, water, juice). The breakfast (included in the price) was sumptuous and tastefully presented which reflected our whole experience while in Palazzo Guiderocchi and Ascoli Piceno. Managing Director Isabella truly went above and beyond the call of duty to help make our stay in the hotel and in Ascoli Piceno a memorable visit. I recommend this hotel and the staff 10 out of 10 for the courtesy, efficiency and knowledge of their town! T.G.

The room had lovely furnishings, a writing desk, and a beautiful vaulted ceiling, and the hotel's location was fantastic, just a short walk from Piazza del Popolo.

Such a Palazza deserves a better breakfast, and the heating could be better - it was freezing (-10 Celsius) during our visit.

We were amazed by the stunning view from our room. Just like in the database review, we felt right in the midst of things, overlooking the bustling main square. The double glazing on the windows helped to shut out the noise at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The hotel's restaurant also impressed us with a high-quality meal. we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel.

great location. wonderful base to enjoy Ascoli Piceno. Junior suite was an excellent deal. Parking in the back of the Hotel was very helpful.
